Hair & Makeup course
This course gives you the opportunity to become a Professional freelance makeup and hair artist and deliver high quality techniques in BRIDAL, MEDIA & FASHION Makeup & Hair. The opportunities within the makeup industry are varied and can offer an exciting career with dedication and determination to give it a go.
Portfolio
Portfolio day is included in the hair & makeup course. We believe that it is essential for every artist to create some sort of a portfolio in which they display their work. This is what you need to show clients your expertise and which will make them book you – It’s a selling point. YOU may need to bring specific outfits/jewellery for the look you would like to create if we do not already have them.
Course description & what is included
This course is delivered within a classroom environment through demonstrations, detailed instructions and guidance to the group/individuals. The learning is via observation of the student’s capability to demonstrate skills and knowledge. Assessments are via observation during practical work. You get the following:

Are we allowed to bring along friends to keep us company?
Unfortunately not! There will be a register to sign upon arrival, only those who have paid a deposit and booked onto the course are allowed in to the rooms.
How do i enrol onto this course?
Call Isma and check available dates. Courses usually take place in the last week of every month. We will then post out or email an invoice to you. A deposit is required to secure the booking. Once deposit (non – refundable) is received, confirmation email will be sent. All details for the course will be sent 2 weeks prior to the course

Beauty therapist course: 7 days
You will be required to bring a model as these are 1to1
This course covers the following areas: Facials, waxing, threading, tinting & Nail tech; Client consultation, record keeping, nail diseases and disorders, health and safety, anatomy of hand and arms, face, neck, nail preparation, manicures, application of UV acrylics and gel overlays, infills, removal, after care advice, Hygiene, Products knowledge, Contra-indications to treatment, Waxing of legs, underarms, eyebrows and face, Aftercare and so on
Includes: Certificate on successful completion and a starter kit

Henna course: 3 days
Taught on a one to one basis. Students gain the knowledge and skills to mix and apply henna paste onto the body safely.
Preparation
• Basic history and background to henna
• Make your own safe, natural henna paste using fresh ingredients
• Making cones
Application
• Practice primary designs and techniques: Flowers, Vines, paisleys and shading
• Explore various henna designs from around the world
Aftercare
• Get the darkest stain possible from your henna paste
• Client management and aftercare
Henna Tips & Tricks
• Add accents to henna designs with glitter and also make glitter tattoos
• Applying shimmers to henna designs
• Adding gems to henna
• Identify the dangers of so called ‘Black Henna’
